Billing & Insurance

Luminary Language & Literacy Services does not accept insurance and is considered "out of network" or private pay. We accept checks, ACH (electronic transfer from bank account) and credit cards. This can include using your Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) as therapy qualifies as a health-related expense. In addition, we are a Step Up for Students provider, which in many cases can cover all or much of your bill if your child qualifies. Please review your Step Up Handbook for the steps required to submit for reimbursement of services.

Upon request, we will gladly provide you with a superbill as a statement of your services. You can submit the superbill on your own behalf to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. It is highly recommended that you check with your insurance company to determine what out-of-network speech services are included in your plan. A doctor's referral is not needed for an evaluation or services at Luminary Language & Literacy Services.

  • We provide complimentary consultation calls and would be delighted to discuss your specific concerns. We can offer guidance on whether an evaluation and therapy would be beneficial for your child.

  • Certainly! There are times when the services a child receives at school may not fully meet their needs. If you feel your child would benefit from extra support, we’re here to help provide the additional private services they may need.

  • Absolutely! Often, school based services have strict requirements for qualification. Formal assessments and scores don't always paint the complete picture, and additional services could be beneficial for your child. We're here to offer that support.

  • Online virtual teletherapy services are available to pediatric residents in the state of Florida and offer added convenience for busy families.

  • Currently, we only provide therapy services in English.
