We are a boutique, pediatric private practice offering personalized therapy to support your child’s speech, language, and literacy development. In addition to speech therapy services, we also offer ‘Happy Talk’ Caregiver & Me baby/toddler song & sign classes, parent coaching and virtual therapy sessions within the state of Florida.
We understand that life gets busy, and we are pleased to offer mobile services for your convenience. We will travel to your home, daycare, or preschool. Our mission is to help your child reach their full communication potential, with family and fun at the heart of everything we do.

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m Lindsay, founder and Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Luminary Language & Literacy Services LLC. I am also the lead instructor for Happy Talk Orlando Song & Sign classes. I’ve been a speech therapist for 15 years and have worked in a variety of settings including the school system, private clinics, and long term care facilities. I strongly believe a speech therapist should have a variety of tools and strategies in their toolbox. There is no one size fits all approach to working with little humans and I enjoy the challenge of incorporating different aspects of what I have learned over the years and how it might apply to the client in front of me in that moment. I’m passionate about creating an environment where learning is fun and engaging.
I’m the mom to three energetic kids, so I am no stranger to the hectic schedules and occasional challenges that come with parenthood. I truly understand the difficulties of raising a child with a disability, and I want you to know that I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Luminary Language & Literacy Services provides in-home, community based (daycare, preschool, library) and virtual services for children in Orlando, Florida (South Orlando, Belle Isle, Downtown Orlando, Pine Castle, Conway, Baldwin Park, Winter Park) and other surrounding areas within a 5 mile radius of zip code 32812. Virtual online services are available to those in the state of Florida.

Ready to chat?
Please reach out for a free 15 minute phone consultation to discuss your concerns and determine if Luminary Language & Literacy Services is the right fit for you. If you decide to move forward, intake paperwork will be emailed to you to get to know your child better.
Step Two
Let’s meet!
Based on your specific needs and concerns, the speech-language pathologist will schedule an evaluation to assess your child’s speech, language and/or literacy skills. Results will be discussed and a therapy/intervention time will be scheduled based on results and recommendations.
Step three
It’s time to play and learn!
If services are recommended, a day/time will be scheduled and a location will be determined (home, daycare, preschool) for services. We offer 30, 45, and 60 minute therapy sessions based on your child’s individual and unique communication needs.

Insurance & billing
Luminary Language & Literacy Services does not accept insurance and is considered "out of network" or private pay. We accept ACH, credit cards, checks, or cash pay. This can include using your Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) as therapy qualifies as a health-related expense. In addition, we are a Step Up for Students provider, which in many cases can cover all or much of your bill if your child qualifies for the Unique Abilities scholarship. Please review your Step Up handbook for steps to submit for reimbursement of services.
Upon request, we will gladly provide you with a superbill as a statement of your services. You can submit the superbill on your own behalf to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. It is highly recommended that you check with your insurance company to determine what out-of-network speech services are included in your plan. A doctor's referral is not needed for an evaluation or services at Luminary Language & Literacy Services.
